Bain & Company is one of the world's leading global business consulting firms, serving clients across six continents on issues of strategy, operations, technology, organisation and mergers and acquisitions.
Everything we do at Bain is guided by True North. In geographic terms, True North is an unchanging and true point on a gyro-compass. It is constant, singular and not affected by factors like magnetic forces or location. For us, True North is our unswerving commitment to always do the right thing by our clients, our people, and our communities.
Part of that commitment is to enable women to achieve their full potential at work and in our communities.
The aim of our True North Scholarship program has always been to inspire high potential female students and equip them with practical skills to develop leadership ability and increase personal impact as they start out in their careers. As well as a $15,000 scholarship, our winner will be assigned a Bain mentor to provide guidance and access to a vast professional network. It may also give you a head start in your application to join Bain Australia.
All applicants who are selected for interview will be invited to attend our True North Scholarship workshop. The workshop offers exceptional insight into our industry and what a career in consulting can offer, as well as opportunities to identify and practice a number of key skills, including case cracking technique.
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be:
- A female penultimate year undergraduate student, expecting to graduate at the end of 2018 or mid-2019. Please note applications from masters degree (except MBA) students at the University of Western Australia will be accepted.
- An Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
- A strong academic achiever who thrives on creating an impact
- Someone who enjoys solving complex problems and delivering results
- Active in community or extra-curricular activities
